Greetings from the Emporos Development team!

We wanted to take this opportunity to share with you some of the exciting new things we’re working on here at Emporos Systems!

IIAS/FSA Card enhancements: We’re currently designing the modules nececcary for the MerchantSoft POS to manage IIAS approved items and FSA card BIN numbers. Features of this module will enable automatic updates through Emporos to the approved item list inside your POS environment.

Web Based Inventory Control: Development of a web browser based inventory control system has been a top priority for Emporos. We currently have completed a web based Transfer system, View Inventory Status (Stocking, order levels, etc) and Cycle Counts engines. We hope to be in pilot environments with the full product by the late fourth quarter of 2008!

Release 7.1.2.0:

Scheduled for release later this summer our base product is being enhanced to better manage Credit Card processors, improve support for the Ingenico Signature Capture devices as well as added configuration options in our Accounts Receivable module.

It has come to our attention that an e-mail has been received by some customers indicating that they are to download an update from Emporos to Merchantsoft for Payment Services.  This is a hoax and should not be downloaded.  Please alert Emporos if you receive this e-mail.

Emporos NEVER sends software updates via e-mail.  If you ever receive any e-mails to the contrary, please notify us immediately.

Emporos would like to welcome our two newest employees:

Kim Meachum has joined us as a Level 1 Support Desk operator (as of June 4)

Audra Davis has joined us as a Field Deployment Engineer (as of June 25)

We are looking to expand our staff significantly in the next few months. We are looking to add administrative, customer service, staging, development, and field deployment personnel. If any Emporos customers or partners have anyone to recommend for these positions, please have them forward their resume to hrmgr@emporos.net.

We are pleased to announce the recent promotion of Tammi Poplin to Customer Service Manager with day-to-day management of the Customer Service Team. Tammi has been a member of the Emporos team for approximately four years. Please join us in congratulating her on this achievement.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our Live Help System available via the link on the lower left of the Support site. We are currently working on the staffing model for this system to provide coverage during the bulk of the business day. We look forward to your comments regarding the system and will use this and other technologies to further improve customer support.
